My name is Andrew and I am a sophomore at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley. As the captain and one of the founding members of this team, it is my greatest wish for this team to advance to worlds. I hope to live up to the name of our team and inspire others to take up STEM and robotics. This year, I worked on the all CAD-ed drivetrain, the electronic system, as well as the code of the robot.

My name is Leo, and I am a freshman at Monta Vista High School. I joined this team last year to work on hardware involved roles. Our team is aiming to advance to worlds. As we get new members over the summer and much more experience, I feel like we are getting closer to our goal. This season, I worked on most of the hardware parts, including outtake and lift.

My name is Ellie and I’m an 8th grader at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley. I joined this team last year. This year I worked on the lift system. Being a part of Paragon has always been something that I have been proud of, as our team not only tries to strive for excellence in FTC competitions but also works hard to inspire and introduce robotics to people of all ages. Unlike many other robotics teams, every member of our team tries to go to as many outreach events and teach as many classes as possible as volunteers to uphold our team’s name as “a team that truly does care for their community”.

My name is Eric and I am a sophomore at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley, this is my first year as a team member in Paragon. This year I worked on Outtake, Lift, Intake and Marker Deployment System for our robot. I am also working on other Hardware/ Mechanical components as well. I also am working on making new customized parts for our team that will give us a great amount of versatility as we got a CNC this year. I think as many of my fellow team members have mentioned our greatest goal or dream is to advance to worlds this year.

ArulMy name is Arul and I attend Evergreen Valley High School as a sophomore. I joined the team during the 2017-2018 season. This year I worked on the outtake system for the robot. I enjoy working as a part of this team particularly because everyone works well together. I believe that Paragon reaches out to the STEM community a lot, as well as performing our best at FTC competitions.
